I don't really understand Christians that latch onto the whole tolerance, nonviolence, forgiveness, love and prayer. Do they not understand, those they're eager to bring in, will cut their heads off and rape their daughters? Also I thought the Japanese weren't religious, but he's Christian?

They are super religious, but not in a way you would think. Many of them nowadays don't actually believe in Buddha, Jesus or Allah, but their native religion Shinto is heavily embedded into their culture code and they do various Shinto+Japanese version of Buddhism rituals because they always did them and it's considered a good thing to do. Shinto is basically a paganism (not a bad thing tho) revolving around belief that every thing has a spirit so you need to respect them.
