I always stay at Ahern on Sahara just west of SLVB. Non-gaming, free parking, quiet, cool classic vehicle collection and they frequently host gun shows and GOP activities. Note that the windows are all tinted red, and there's no 4th floor. It was originally built ostensibly to lure Chinese whales to Las Vegas as The Lucky Dragon but turned out to be just an immigration scam for wealthy Chinese. It failed within a year. It's a very nice hotel though. Fun fact: it's built on the land where Tony Spilotro operated his jewelry store.
