All I use is Adobe Pro, since I'm an actual professional and not a purple haired creative fag. That said, Adobe Pro is total bloatware shit. 99.9% of the time you just need it to merge documents together, but they guard that simple task with their lives as they shove 1,000 other functions in your face, then have a pop-up on every page about 'you can use AI!'

Adobe acrobat is like $70 a month… for something that is just a basic program…. Windows was like $40 for life back in the day. Their software offers no real value, except for photoshop and premiere are alright. Still overpriced shit
If you sign up for adobe and you cancel it they will charge you a hidden cancellation fee which is like 120 bucks or something too. I had to call them to waive it, total hassle .

Smells like bullshit. Why cant you use it anymore?

I still have my CS6 license and I still use Photoshop, Premier Pro, Fireworks, Illustrator and Indesign to access and change older clients stuff. I just use it on Linux under Proton / Wine now

Obviously I dont use any Adobe products for new projects but anyone who bought creative suite before it became subscription can still use tg=hat

>You sound like you'd be better of using Google products

Google doesn't have a PDF manager, they just have a PDF viewer built into Chrome that they try to shill constantly, but you can't use it to combine files.

Combining PDF files is something they perfected technologically in like 1998, but in 2025 it's still a premium feature you have to pay for.

Well, at least you learned something today.

But ya, Acrobat is a seriously bloated POS software with endless bugs and updates.

All this Adobe stuff is endless betaware. Same with all subscriptions regardless of vendor. Just software vectors to get owned (not real vectors as in Illustrator).

The part that really pisses me off is getting ads inside the software you're paying for. And even at an OS level with Winblows.

For quick touch ups, clones, removals etc I use FastStone Image Viewer LOL, it's way faster (and smaller) than it takes Adobe Photoshop to load. It just doesn't have layers. It's actually pretty awesome what you can do with Image Viewer and it's free for not commercial use.

Yeah because it costs a lot to produce stuff so the best way was to lease the product. This system lets us cheat, and get the product way sooner than we otherwise would have. And lots of the people dont get paid lol, because they die before the lease pays off. So they basically just did all the work for a fraction of what it earned. And even with this type of theivery occurring, shits still pretty fucking poor.

Legit expert here I’ve been doing this shit since the 90s

For the vast majority of users open source programs like shotcut blender gimp etc are far superior all things considered. Back in the day photoshop maya etc were the only games in town and it was expected that people just pirate them. Over the past 25-30 years open source programs have improved greatly and pirating has become increasingly more difficult and dangerous.

Anyone that says blender gimp etc are far worse than the paid programs is a shitty retard artist. A great artist can easily switch between packages with minimal issues. Like an expert f1 racer could easily become an expert nascar racer very quickly. If you think you are a pro f1 racer but would be terrible as a nascar driver it means you are a shitty Asian woman driver not a real pro.

I highly suggest any hobbiest or low level professional switch to open source. It cuts down on major legal and logistical headaches.

I've used Irfan Viewer too before. It's useful also. There isn't much Image Viewer can do that Irfan can't do it is just ease of use on how to do it that I prefer Image Viewer. I also like the actual image viewing part of the program. It reminds me of using old school versions of ACDSee. Just customizing the preview to be on the right side of the viewer and your thumbnails on the left and the file tree on the far left. Basically it's just geek level ease of use. Stuff that takes way too long to do in Photoshop.

For serious stuff though and pretty much all text I use Photoshop or illustrator. Also I pretty much am addicted to the Astute plugins for Illustrator. They're subscription based too which is lame but pirated versions exist too if you know your way around the web.

They are not a scam if you work for ILM or blizzard and need a fine tuned highly professional program to fit into a pipeline. If you are making 50k a year as an independent artist then they usually make little sense unless you need to directly send your work and files to people working in a larger pipeline.

Also I’ve never seen a genuinely highly skilled female artist. They all do shitty illustration work. The female brain is not designed for high pressure elite levels of art creation that requires you to keep up with bleeding edge technological developments. Your gf is not going to be able to talk for hours about her feelings about the new unreal engine release she is going to say “I drew doggy”
