>Is it true that communism totally changed the racial demographics in Venezuela?
If I'm honest, I don't think those who govern us know what communism, or socialism, is. For me, any system that puts the collective before the individual is inhuman, and only feasible in a society where those in charge of directing that collective are as perfect and impersonal as an Artificial Intelligence.
But back to the subject, communism or socialism in Venezuela, is the system imported from Cuba, and maintained with artificial respiration through our immense riches, in the same way that Cuba was maintained with the riches of the Soviet Union. They are collectivist policies but managed by people as corrupt y so corrupt and disinterested in their fellow man, that the collective lacks purpose and in the end they all do the same. make what what they see convenient. Day by day, ironically controlled by fluctuation. of the dollar, which is our dominant currency.
Communism or socialism is only the discourse that makes it easier for tyrants and demagogues come to power by selling utopias. That is why many Venezuelans like the right wing, had a shock therapy.
In reality, as a society I would not say that we have changed: we continue to be immensely consumerist, a certain hedonism persists, and perhaps the biggest change is an intellectual degradation that will soon take its toll on us. Rather than racial, the dilemma here is one of class of influence. Many middle and upper classes left, but also many middle and upper classes benefited or built their wealth by collaborating with chavismo. The worst part was taken by the poor, they are the ones who go hungry or are aware that falling in a public hospital is a death sentence. The poor are also the bulk of the population.
