A drone launched from Yemen hit the rivals hall at Ramon Airport near Eilat today (Sunday). Footage from the scene shows smoke rising above the terminal, as well as fairly heavy damage to the site. MDA reported two minor injuries - a 63-year-old man who was hit by shrapnel, and a 52-year-old woman who fell and injured her legs. They were evacuated to Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat. The terminal was evacuated of passengers, and the airport was closed.

The airspace above the airport was also closed, and lands and takeoffs were suspended. An Israel plane en route to Ramon turned around and landed at Ben Gurion Airport. Passengers reported that there was no alarm. Israel is investigating whether the drone came from the south or east and why it was not detected. The instant occurred minutes after three drones were intercepted on the Egyptian border.
