I always thought the Russian bot accounts/propaganda farm was a meme, like literally a hoax perpetrated by jews and democrats

Then Assad crumbled and /sg/ just straight up didn't exist anymore. Memes weren't made anymore, everything disappeared into the ether.

/sg/ was a thread that ran, what, 6 years? 7 years? Regularly reached bump limit, had its own meme culture, its own pundits like SyrianPartisanGirl, unironic worshipping of Assad, thousands and thousands and thousands of memes and manhours promoting that optometrist, and then it just gone. Literally the second Russia pulled out support. Just fucking disappeared and never talked about again

It's a legitimate concern that an entire "culture" of /pol/, that even made the news when they "spotted an ISIS camp and had Russians bomb it", or that "proved" the chemical attacks were false-flags, was entirely fluff that disappeared the second Russia pulled support.
