I watched his series that was being shilled here because I like content like that.
But this took is sort of retarded. Like I’m already along for the ride and he keeps knocking me out of the carriage with absolutely stupid commentary, stating completely bizarre things (even for this subject) as if they are completely obvious. Absolutely enormous “logical” leaps that make no sense, stated as fact.
It’s a weird complaint and I wouldn’t have cared as much if he was said things like “it may be the case that…and here is why” instead he just said dumb shit as if it was a logical entailment and rarely explained why.
He also had some weird monkey island parable that never paid off, leading to one such dumb statement. Paraphrased:

Like uh, what? The whole monkey island thing was probably the densest amount of insane entailments like

And so I try to grant him these premises… but there is never any payoff for doing so. Why even say such dumb shit?
I’m left to imagine what fucking point he was trying to make, but it’s always several steps removed from the parable itself and the parable was not helpful.
Also just suppressing my eye rolls at the gnostic nature of much of the talk, only to have him full-blown endorse gnostic christianity by the “end” (presently). I don’t mind a lecture through the lens of gnostic philosphy, but gnostic christianity is just on its face stupid and anyone familiar with gnostic philosophy would never deliver such an endorsement for gnostic christianity.
