Whatever country has a tack on foreigners can't buy land needs the same treatment. Everyone comes here buys lands for cheap as marketing expensives and heirlooms and then knocks the locals out of the market. It's hella places that allow foreigners to buy and sell but it's also not. This took too long. I hope the government takes it and doesn't compensate losses.

Way back many moons ago, Mexico nationalized its land so that nobody could own land in Mexico unless they were citizens. Every company abandoned them as a place to build factories, and they spent the next several decades eating shit. Someday maybe the nation will eventually recover.
Abbot and the Texas Republican party know this. They know they're screwing the state for global manufacturing jobs. They're simply cool with it, because they sees the state as an oil state. They want to force that issue. They also like the fact that this screws over large liberal cities that actually make modern goods, such as cars.
