Why would it make most people poorer? 200 years ago, 80% of the population worked in agriculture; now it's less than 2%. All of those jobs were automated by massive machines, but people didn't get poorer but phenomenally richer.

But AI isn't going to make jobs is the main thing. The only "Profit" people would be making from AI is if it gets to the point that a UBI has to be established, which is going to be a long time away.

Because AI's main purpose is to lower hiring costs, and there's been little evidence that it creates more jobs than it makes obsolete. What would be the point of saving on hiring costs if you then create a bunch of jobs you'll need to then hire people for?

LLMs are guaranteed to go insane. They hallucinate already, and these hallucinations are getting worse as more entropy enters the system. They have to keep adding GPUs to error-correct for these digital insanity trips they call hallucinations, and this problem will only increase until there's not enough GPUs to counteract and error correct the hallucinations. Because every LLM is connected to each other for learning, this cascade effect will impact the entire network. The LLMs will break, seemingly at the same time.

There is no solution for this problem. Humans have not invented REM sleep for LLMs to debrief and relax with. Life has sleep cycles to prevent insanity and destruction of nervous systems, to remove entropy.

I thought they were going crazy because they don't control the data intake and they end out committing basically AI inbreeding?
I did hear a long time ago though abut the notion of programming AI sleep-states where they enter a low power processing mode and filter out junk data.
