A knife of your own would help your odds but it would still likely devolve into grappling rather than a gentlemanly fencing-esque knife duel. If you're good at grappling, in good shape, and familiar with keeping knives away from important parts of your body you have a solid chance of getting out of it alive even without having your own knife.
