I’m a 40 year old boomer. I went to Toronto as a kid in the early 90s and remember it being such a nice place. We stayed at some fancy hotel right on some river in the city that put anything in NYC to shame. Toronto had a really cool mall, too back then. It was really, really nice. I doubt it is the same now.

I live in the East End of the Old City and we get lots of American visiters which is nice, but it is definitely not the Toronto I grew up in. My area, Leslieville Beaches is still majority white but if I leave my area its striking how "diverse" the city has become
