80% of all s-o-y does not go to *insert livestock*. It's 80% of each s-o-ybean, because a so--ybean by weight is 20% oil. After the oil is extracted, the s-o-ybean husks are fed to livestock as a by-product, which only exists in the first place after the oil is extracted for human consumption. So--ybean husks are a fibrous, non-edible, toxic by-product called s-o-ybean meal, which is derived from drenching the crushed s-o-ybeans in hexane. Cattle are also fed another toxic by-product from corn syrup and ethanol called distillerβs corn.
A 60 lb bushel of s-o-ybeans yields 11 lbs of oil, 48 lbs of meal, and 1 lb of hexane contaminated waste. In general, s-o-ybean oil produces about 3x the profit of s-o-ybean meal.
In the US alone, 180 million acres goes to corn and s-o-ybeans. 29 million acres of it goes directly to livestock, leaving 151 million acres going to humans. 14% of all basedbeans grown in the US go directly to humans and livestock. 7% to humans and 7% to livestock.
90% of all basedbeans grown on this planet are extracted for their oil. 100% of that extracted oil is for human consumption. 1.9% of all s-o-y production is consumed directly by cattle, cattle used for beef specifically consume 0.5% and those for dairy consume 1.4% of that overall 1.9%.
No less than 85% of all livestock feed is not suitable for human consumption since it's industrial waste leftover from the processing of plant crops, be it the stem, leaves and other inedible parts of a given plant, which are almost entirely grown in the first place for human consumption.
The figures often shown to claim otherwise display the yield of plants, like o-ni-ons from a crop field, as a percentage of its edible materials for humans. These figures are intended to show waste via crop production as the responsibility is passed onto the meat industry, whose animals clean up the mess.
This fat fuck "farmer" is complaining about losing the Chinese market for his s-o-y cropslop shit.
