Hard truth is that a lot of us were designed to only live in a village of few hundred at the most, e4specailly for guys without the means to "travel". Our different quirks, strengths and weaknesses, are tailored for appealing to small family units not entire population and countries with populations in the millions or billions. This bizarre hell world is something nothing our ancestors had to contend with or even fathom in their limited scope, we are the first generations to live in this global quagmire and are ridiculed and disowned for not understanding everything perfectly, punished even.

Society and the economy are absolute trash. Working full time in a two income household and not having two pennies to rub together after bills, food and childcare costs. A few bad paydays away from not paying the mortgage and losing the house. It's absolutely enticing to just say fuck it and claim bennies. Why work so hard to be broke?

Everyone on this 'hustle' bullshit out to get theirs, out to make millions and sacrifice all at the altar of avarice. Every business owner in the mindset of 'how little can we pay our staff and how much can we jack up our prices'. How does that fit into a functioning and healthy society? It doesn't. We can't all aspire to be millionaires. 'Hustle' is not the solution to the average person's financial troubles. We need a robust job market, solid employment opportunities with training and advancement so that people can forge careers and be rewarded for hard work. We don't have careers anymore. Not for the majority. We have temp jobs. We have go nowhere positions filled with interchangeable meat. I could earn twice as much anyway and through tax and losing child benefits be essentially no better off. Can't afford to go for a fucking pint on a Friday night because a pint of piss lager costs £7 in a rural market town. Weekly shop breaks the fucking bank at Aldi for Christ's sake.
If it weren't for supportive parents we'd be destitute. Then people wonder why no one is having children.

I tried to elevate myself. I got a trade and went into construction. At every turn I was met with greedy fucking small business owners. They'd take me on with the promise of training and advancement but it never materialised. They just want someone to carry all day. They know the second you get some experience under your belt, you'll be out in your own getting paid what you're actually worth. Bunch of fucking crooks and cowboys. Oh well. It won't hold together much longer. We'll see what happens then.

A lot of people initially think thats not me and no way that's gonna be me.

Then eventually you lose your job coz of AI, jeets or whatever. You apply for a gorillion jobs with no responses. The world has no pity on your position and gets worse each day. Eventually as you see what the world really is you realize, maybe they do have a point.

Have you looked into what the cost of living was in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's? And then compared it to today? I think that will set you in the right direction.

Just live and focus on yourself, even if you are a jobless NEET you can fill ALL that vacant time with actually interesting things (documentaries, books, hobbies, etc.) I dont really plan on wage slaving because ive never met one that actually enjoys being outside the hamster wheel.
