IIRC he was a medic and served near Bakhmut, got wounded and left the military. Already in the late summer of 2024, I said that Pokrovsk would never fall, despite strong pushback from so-called experts and know-it-alls.
Now, a year later, it is clear that Pokrovsk has become the small hill that overturns the entire Ruzzian cart.
The Ruzzians have lost enormous resources over the past year in their attempts to capture Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.

When Hannu, Mikael the journalist, and I were last there, we observed that the Ruzzians in reality did not have nearly as many drones as was being claimed.
Now we have further proof: the continued liberation of areas around Dobropillia was carried out with armored vehicles — without any interference from Ruzzian drones!

As I mentioned in yesterday’s update, we neutralize about 70% of Ruzzian drones in the area.
Once we gain air superiority in a sector, we can bring in armored vehicles, allowing us to quickly deploy enough infantry.
At the same time, our recon groups soften up the Ruzzian dugouts, making it possible for us to take over the area swiftly. Up at Kucheriv Yar, exhausted Ruzzian soldiers surrendered with little resistance.

The Ruzzians have also given up hope of taking Rodynske since Novoekonomichne is under our control.
Their attack with ancient armored vehicles along the main road into Novoekonomichne was completely destroyed by the very unit we — and you — are supporting.

Update 09.09.2025

First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser for the Kara Drah and Chorney Kalina units.
We not only reached the goal but far surpassed it — we even managed to secure a transport/evacuation robot.
I will receive it today, and the factory’s instructor will teach me how to operate it.
After that, it’s my turn to train the soldier who will actually use it.

We’ve also received many product donations, so our vehicles will be heavily overloaded.

Looking at the units’ wish list, it’s clear what’s coming.
The last three trips were mainly focused on defensive operations, but this time the emphasis has shifted to equipment for offensive operations.

At the Pokrovsk front, the villages of Razine and Novotoretske have been completely liberated from the “tourists,” and the area between them is now a gray zone.
This means the Ruzzians are totally cut off west and north of the Razine–Novotoretske line.
At the same time, we struck the Pokrovsk front headquarters located in Donetsk with our own missiles.
I am waiting for the official announcement of the results, but the buildings were completely leveled.
