1.) It was premeditated, not "random"
2.) Reports that "no weapon at the scene of the crime has been found" meaning either it was a glow op already being covered up OR the shooter had a weapon that could be quickly disassembled, folded up and packed away.
3.) Military and LE and OP bros all seem to agree that landing a shot at that distance with basic firearms training and a basic understanding of ballistics and trajectory could have landed that shit EZ. So it's most likely this person had firearms training or experience using a weapon to some degree, if they weren't a trained professional.

Roof access is very easy for the building he picked. Just park in the back, setup an extendable ladder and you're done. You'd have easy access to your car and could dip in less than 1 minute.

It's unlikely the crowd would've focused on that parking. When Kirk when to my university everyone was centered on him but the nearby parking areas had almost no traffic.
You can easily fit a collapsible ladder in your car's trunk and the building itself is not tall at all so it all can be setup pretty quickly. He could've just parked right by the edge. And also recall the trump shooter, multiple people, during a busy day saw him climb up but nothing was done right away

2) carrying a ladder and a case to a roof is absurdly suspicious
3) universities are extremely critical of anyone trying to access their robes because of the aforementioned suicide problem

5) he’s got to: park close (if lucky) carry ladder to building in open day, return for rifle, climb onto roof, without anyone noticing.

Much much more likely, just like with the trump shooter the ladder was “accidentally” left in place so all he had to do was climb and fire. Maintenance guy who got paid 100 to leave his ladder out will keep his mouth shut lest he catch a felony murder charge.

Again, from the parking lot in the back, the roof is easily accessible as its. It's not even that tall, maybe about 10 feet to the top and has no guard rails.
A collapsible ladder can easily be snuck in when no one is looking all you would need to do is drive into the parking lot, park right by the roof, unload it outta the passenger seat, extended it, and climb up with the rifle. This could be done in 30 seconds and he's got roof access without opening any doors and triggering an alarm.
This is a university not a presidential assembly, security is more lax and only centered around Kirk, not the entire area.
