No, since no vest company will do anything to mislead you that it will protect you from spalling or your house burning down and is not negligently designed in some way that caused you to believe you should rely on it for that.
On the other hand an old lady sued mcdonalds for coffee served a few tens of degrees below the boiling point of water, you know like how coffee is brewed. And because she was old enough and managed to burn her cunt badly enough she got millions and everyone in the modern generation thinks she was 100% in the right even though your average corner cafe probably serves coffee as hot if you dip a thermocouple in it.
So yeah you can drop a knife on your foot and sue for it being too sharp, it's your birthright as an American, but you will almost certainly lose if you're a random white adult playing with weapons and not some puppy dog victim.
