I am a Liberal Democrat but I fully condemn what happened. It was a terrible act of violence. I have debated Charlie Kirk before in person at campus and we've had our disagreements, but he was a human being. This is not the time for escalation but for PEACE, we can all unite in condemning this barbaric action.

R.I.P to a great American who sought to have civil debates with whom he disagreed.

I think people are too smart for your dishonesty. Democrats have an established pattern. Create mental illness and drug addiction, feed misinformation to make the mentally ill hate full of hatred, incite their followers to violence and murder, and then when it happens they play dumb and nice and condemn the violence, and finally a few weeks later they start the process over again. And here you are, playing your part, and in a few days you'll find someone new to call a nazi, fascist, and threat to America starting the process over.

If you want to make amends for what you've done, start calling for Democrats to be imprisoned for the murders they've incited.

I'm afraid it's too late. You can tell a child a thousand times that the stove is hot and not to touch it, but really the only way for them to learn sometimes is for them to go ahead and get burned.

You can tell people that widespread civil violence is horrific and pointless, but we're at a point now where I feel like the extremists on either side don't care. They either think that the stove can't burn them or that they maybe even want to be burned. You see this kind of build-up prior to almost all major outbreaks of social violence.

People talk themselves into a frenzy, they are increasingly radicalised and forced to choose sides (you're either with us or you're against us mentality). Ultimately then the only way for a society to achieve catharsis is to expiate it through violence, and only by the experience of it can things return to a kind of normality. You saw it prior to the Great War in Europe. Before the Troubles in Ireland. Before the Rwandan Genocide and before the American Civil War.

TL;DR - sometimes you gotta let the kid get burned
