Supposedly there were methods in ancient civilizations like Egypt, however the ritual has to occur minutes after death so they can transfer the soul to a new vessel. Any longer and nothing can be done.

It's impossible. Our spirits are bound into our avatars. That which is a biologically engineered suit to keep us in this simulation. If that piece of flesh and bone is irreversibly damaged to the point of permanent death, there is no coming back. You have departed the simulation towards either the real existence, or permanent destruction. All that necromancy stuff attracts interdimensional celestial spirits from other planes of existence. Stay away from it.
