Infighting and tribalism is natural and has existed since the dawn of time (and that's a bad thing). Only big brother and a technocracy with an AI overlord making the most optimal decisions for humanity could push it to greatness.

it makes sense to me that the divided populace and feminising of men is good news in Russia and China, a weakened/weakening top power/biggest rival.

But then are our elites so dumb not to realise that is happening, or do they think it's ok because they can use it to crack down on freedoms.

But ultimately if the right and left united the elites would be in big trouble, the people fighting each other is their biggest strength and protection. Even if it leads to the country's demise in the end.
