it wasn't. one of the engines landed on the building, punching through the roof... and debris had fallen on the building. the building was too structurally unsound to put firemen in it (remember hundreds had just died) and the building was in a location that made it both a hazard to other buildings in the area and to the rescue efforts at ground zero, so the decision was made to demolition the building rather then try to put out the fire. this wasn't a secret, they were talking about it openly on the news around 4pm on 911.

yet 3 years later the mentally ill latched onto it's "mysterious collapse" as if it was something that happened in some sort of conspiracy.
