St. John the Theologian referred to "Antichrists" in the plural as this world became full of them upon Jesus' coming, death, and resurrection (Jesus came with a sword, dividing the people between those who follow Him and those who don't), but the Capital-A Antichrist has several prophecies about him, namely that he is a grand inverse of Jesus Christ. Some of those differences are:
>The Antichrist is beloved. The world loves the Antichrist because the Antichrist is of the world.
>He will reign for three and a half years benevolently, then for the next three and a half years he will impose great tyranny. He will call for a mark to be placed on the right hand or the forehead of all in order for them to trade goods. The mark will be present on those goods, too.
>During those first three and a half years, two witnesses will appear on the Mount of Olives (Often associated with Elijah and Enoch) who will be given power to make fire rain down and bring about plagues at their whim. God sent them in order to affirm to the believers that He is fulfilling what's written.
There's more, but the post is getting long.
