He didn't feel shit I think that bullet hit him so god damn hard it:
1. transferred a ton of energy which knocked him unconscious (see how his shirt flies so violently - he was punched by Mike Tyson)
2. severed his spine and destroyed the connection to the rest of his body
3. caused massive blood loss that would have also rendered him unconscious in seconds
There are like 3 different ways that he wouldn't have felt anything.
His face may have had some human-like reaction to it, but it's muscles contracting, he is still alive and heart is beating.
Fighters who are KO'd will also make "faces" after they get punched but they are already unconscious.
When they wake up, they always say they didn't feel it and don't remember it.
As for the shot, it was an effective hit, one that required nerves of steel, but he wasn't aiming for the neck and I don't believe he was aiming at the heart or head either.
I think people get caught up in deer hunting, trophy hunting, and elite sniping where you can afford to choose whether you hit the head or heart.
99% of snipers don't aim for a head or a heart. They aim for the man. Their goal is to shoot and kill the man. Specific shot placement is just extra credit and even risky.
If you play Call of Duty do you actually aim for the head when you use a sniper rifle? No, you shoot as soon as your crosshairs are on the guy.
You don't even remember where you hit him. So to answer the question where was the shooter aiming? He was aiming at Charlie.
I've shot rabbits with scoped pellet guns. I would aim at the rabbit. That was always enough to kill them. I hope that makes sense.
It's a fucking 30-06 on a human... You will kill him wherever he is hit. Shot placement doesn't matter. Landing the shot does.
