I don't agree with Charlie but he probably could've been convinced eventually, he got himself in trouble for hosting anti-genocide speakers and he maintained connections with lots of anti-war folk (real ones, not leftoid pretenders.)
As it is his death and the predictably ghoulish response has been pretty useful for everyone on the center and right, not just the zios for proving that leftists are a menace and a problem and need to be addressed in some yet to be determined but permanent way.
We'll see where the dialog goes in the next weeks. I think executions are unlikely but there are a lot of other possibilities!
