I Can Never Understand the Leftist Mindset
It feels like they have a brain problem, what makes someone so twisted to end up on that side of the political spectrum?

It's not wasted. It pays for patronage.

How about taxing them and spending that money directly on companies to improve infrastructure in rural areas?

Atheistic liberalism. I can explain it to you, but I have a feeling you won’t even really engage with what I’m saying so just read Carl Schmitt to understand the problem of deified humanism in liberalism and its contradictions.

The Government already subsidizes healthcare (in part by giving handouts to insurance industries). I'd rather tax billionaires for free healthcare than continue to pay taxes AND deductibles for shitty expensive healthcare

as opposed to the current trump administration's policies
massive cuts to government spending and law enforcement (on corporations and wealthy people only) along and massive tax hikes on regular in the form of tariffs, with all that money going to offsetting tax cuts for corporations and wealthy people

why are you complaining about an imaginary scenario that only exists in your head when what is actually happening right now is worse?

>Just do what the rest of the world does, we TOTALLY won't end up like them. Somehow it will be different when we do it!

The rest of the world doing this is what turned them into shitholes in the first place.

I think it's epic to leave wealth untaxed so that it operates like an infinite money glitch while the returns from actual hard labour diminish with every passing year. No way this could have adverse consequences for our society

Ok but even you admit that's still objectively way better than taxing the rich and giving to these programs, which is what Obama, Bush, Biden, all did.

>>515730482
Yes lets just tax the rich so everybody loses their jobs and we turn into Venesuala.

Tax collections are around 4.5 trillion dollars, expenditures at over 6 trillion dollars. In all levels of gpvernment.
The difference is covered with a 1.8 trillion sale of bonds. Payments on interest were 800 billion, so the net borrowing is around 1 trillion. Yes, the govt borrows to pay the interest and has never paid anything back in real terms. Borrowing is always higher than interest payments

what?? that is the exact opposite of what i said you illiterate retard
taxing rich people and spending that money on government programs that benefit regular people is much, much better than what is happening now
and that is exactly what Obama and Biden did (Bush did the opposite, cutting taxes on wealthy people and corporations, then cutting spending to offset that)

>taxing rich people and spending that money on government programs that benefit regular people is much, much better than what is happening no

You're an illiterate retard.

That IS WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW. Trump just reduced it a little bit with some tax cuts and spending cuts.

We're still taxing the rich and giving to the middle class, just not as much as before.

Come back to me when corporate taxes are 0%, capital gains are 0%, and we've fully abolished medicare, social security, medicaid, Department of Education, Department of labor, etc.

Socialism doesn't benefit anybody. We need capitalism and freedom.

I should add than this amount of money raised by the government (in all levels) is funded by surplus money (profits) from private industry.
Private industry makes around 4 trillion dollars in net profits after taxes.
They keep 1 trillion for internal investment.
About another trillion is handed out in dividends and stock buybacks.
2 trillion left, and is soaked by US government selling of bonds.
Theres another trillion available which comes from foreign tributes (Qatar, Netherlands, etc) and is what funds most of any new real investment in the US, besides companies reinvesting 25% of profits in their own enterprises.
The available pool of money for additional taxation would be that 1 trillion of dividend money and that 1 trillion of company investment money.
Then theres the interest money paid by the government, which is used by the private sector, around 800 billion. Its used for mortage and corporate bonds, basically.
Realistically you cant take more than 400 extra billions in net additional money, and you can do so by taking it from the trillion dollars in dividends. Theres not much else available, things are near maxx

They’re right socialist policies work, where they go wrong is when you apply them beyond white people and include multiculturalism. Socialism only ever thrives under white identity. You give it to slavs, niggers, or spics then it all falls apart. This is why Germany was a huge back then but the Soviet Union and Cuba both floundered. When you allow multiculturalism, you create the problem of enabling other races to leech off of the hard working tax payer for free gibs.

>It feels like they have a brain problem, what makes someone so twisted to end up on that side of the political spectrum?

They trust the government and view it as an extension of their will. When the government gets money its like they're getting money because they wrongly imagine that the government will do what they want.
