In fact, Kirk might well split off and take his 'book of business' to a new project. Not to mention opposition from Kirk's political allies.

However, if he were to become a martyr, the opposite would happen.

See what I mean? Other questions to look at - what is the structure of the life insurance/executive insurance that was taken out for Kirk? What does the group's organization chart look like before and after Kirk was removed? Where is the money going, and when? And - it must be asked - what kind of money is his WIDOW getting here?

It seems like everyone is ignoring this possibility, even though it would make logical sense. Let's see what kind of information can be gleaned about the group's money flows, insurance payouts, etc. over the next few months.
