Same retarded homosexual was pondering what great safe space 4chin would be without'Le dumb ebil Americans'.

Whenever capitalists cut prices it's solely and exclusively because they've cut costs.
That cost cutting could be due to automation and efficiency/productivity improvements which could mean a rise in unemployment.
Or it could be due to moving production or sourcing of components, ingredients or precursors further away from the fiat currency creation hubs (the big cities with lots of banks and borrowers), or abroad. Again raising unemployment at hom.
Or it could be due to cutting costs by cutting quality or reducing serving size.
Or some combination of some or all of these.

Muh GeeDeePee
Approximately 80% of the American GDP is based on services (essentially nothing tangible). Only about 10% is manufacturing (actual things that you make). You see the difference that makes in a scenario like the conflict in Ukraine, where despite having a much smaller GeeDeePee than the US, Russia is still able to outproduce the entirety of NATO on shells, drones and missile production.

>or because the price of storing products, why didn't you think of that?
You're saying that capitalists will also, sometimes, slash prices to get rid of merchandise which would otherwise not have sold at all and reduce their losses.
However, it escapes you that this is merely an attempt to reduce the amount of financial loss incurred. And capitalists do not operate for the purpose or goal of reducing their financial losses. They operate for the goal of financial profit. Capitalists will accept a financial loss if it's necessary to avoid an even larger financial loss but then they'll simply stop trying to do what they did that ended up losing them money (unless the money power, which can create arbitrary amounts of fiat currency and can allocate and distribute it as it sees fit, wants them to continue in the financial loss incurring endeavours, such as is the case with woke entertainment which keeps being made despite bombing every single time). So if capitalists could not sell all of their production of a certain good for a monetary price which they needed to get in order for the production of that good to have been financially profitable, they'll scale back the amount of that good which they will produce for the next month or the next quarter, making that good scarcer next month. Or they'll reduce its production costs, by outsourcing or offshoring production, in whole or in part, abroad or by reducing the quality or the quantity of the good being sold. However, the problem is that the money for the financial profitability of the economy does not actually exist.
>Literally why sales happen, of course all you can say is 'ebil crapitalism' even though thats why China went from 80% in extreme poverty to .2%.
China became wealthy because they industrialized. The US and EU have grown poor because they've deindustrialized. Industry is the foundation of society and fundamental to civilisation and industry is the source of all real and lasting prosperity.

Because China has a system where private capital is allowed to exist, but remains subordinate to the party, while in the west any given party is only able to come into power if it has private capital backing, and only allowed to stay as long as it is willing to remain subordinate to those who backed it. So of course such a system is demonized by western elites.

It's not small amounts of private enterprise, it literally carried their economy from the 1980s til now. Market socialism is not their model at all, their pursuit of private profits is what helped them speedrun the entire industrial revolution in just 20 years.

China basically lets you open a business, they pretty much do not care about it, it then reaches a certain threshold of production, then CCP comes in, ask for the golden shares, it forces the company to open up board seats for CCP members, and then if they're too big, they put in anti-trust laws (which don't do anything), that make it so another company can spawn in and do that same exact thing (the other company typically never succeeds), which unnecessarily makes investors take their money out of the economy. It's privately pushed, and government aligned by the CCP. This idea that it's the CCP itself finding, funding, and making these companies is not true at all and a complete myth.

Washington Consensus spread deregulation, copycat of US financial system and blind faith in institutions. Chinese market socialism is a conservation of socialist oversight over economic production and an enhancement of public companies through both efficiency models and comparative leverage plus common good instead of maximalist profiteering. Some economists wrote a little about how the US was adapting their own system to many practices of market socialism. And Trump's recent penchant for trying to meddle at private companies is an escalation in this direction. So you're wrong on this.

My only disagreement here is that the Chinese devised such an economic policy solely based on their own trial and error.
If you trace the lineage of this type of economic/industrial/development model, you'll find that the Chinese were heavily influenced by the Japanese(Deng era) and that the Japanese were inspired by the Germans and whatever else was going on in Europe during their early stages of industrialisation.

No one is trying to say the Chinese model is entirely made by Deng, without being based on anything. It took a lot from "industrial capitalist" models, also called "Dirigisme", but it's not just a flavor of "Dirigisme", if has many characteristics that make it market socialism instead.

There are differences on how finances work, being mostly directly done by the state in market socialism and done privately with regulation in Japan/South Korea/Taiwan (I'll call it JSKT model for short).

There's also difference on land ownership, being all state owned and leased in market socialism and private in JSKT model.

There's the difference of state representation being forced inside companies in market socialism, instead of company representation being allowed in the state as in the JSKT model.

Interesting article. Thanks. My views on banking are highly controversial, because I argue the position that high deregulation is compatible with a stable system. Also, I advocate this in order to supersede the global American empire's grasp on international capital and market confidence, as an economic and political tool. So we will eventually disagree on many things about how exactly public control should exist in banking.
As for the Chinese system, did you ever notice how 70's and 80's Japan was also leveraging monetary instruments for comparative advantages, just like China has been doing? But they were forced to kneel to the mutts, while China stood their ground. They are very good at sitting back and thinking about things, reflecting, rational deliberating. East Asians in general are very good at this. The Chinese seem to be the only ones actually analysing things and paying attention to detail, to efficient models. Everyone else seems to be asleep at the wheel, too preocupated with normiecattle stuff or with their own more immediate issues, instead of taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture. Despite rivalries, you three are basically brother/cousin countries, and have a lot to teach the world, while the West is trying to push degeneracy and the cult of idiocracy.

>On the morning of September 10, Poland’s Armed Forces Operational Command announced the destruction of several objects identified as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that had violated national airspace. According to the Polish authorities, nineteen violations of the country’s airspace were reported overnight to September 10. In response to the incident, NATO, at Poland’s request, invoked Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, initiating consultations among alliance members.

>Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry said that during the night of September 9-10, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian military-industrial facilities in the Ivano-Frankovsk, Khmelnitsky, and Zhitomir regions, as well as in Vinnitsa and Lvov. The ministry emphasized that no targets within Polish territory were planned for destruction. It also noted that the UAVs allegedly crossing into Polish airspace had a maximum range of 700 kilometers. The agency expressed its readiness to engage in consultations with Poland regarding the incident.

>being mostly directly done by the state in market socialism and done privately with regulation
I believe they're all effectively similar in terms of intention and goal, you'll find JSKT to have done a lot of the former in the 60~80s, and China to have done some of the latter.

>difference on land ownership
They have this 70-year lease thing with residential housing right? What puzzles me here is that this huge difference in terms of legality has not really resulted in any different outcome in the housing bubble compared to other countries.

>state representation being forced inside companies
My understanding is that it would be like having a government representative in the board of directors of every incorporated company, but I'm not sure as to how this is effectively difference from bureacrats/regulators having a tight leash.

>>515795198

Yeah, it's unfortunate that all of East Asia eventually succumbed to international finance at some point.

I'm saying that allowing a limited amount of private sector to run on JSKT model is part of the Chinese model, but the Chinese model goes beyond it and to be very honest it's a quite weird model.

>In the late seventies banking was not a job you went into to make large sums of money. It was a good stable profession like selling insurance or accounting. And if banking was boring then the bond department at a bank was downright comatose. We all know about bonds, give em to your nephew when he turns 16 and then we he’s thirty he makes a hundred dollars. Yawn. Bonds were for losers. That is, until Lewis Ranieri came on the scene at Solomon Brothers. Lewis and his band of foul-mouthed bond traders took a sleepy department and made it the most profitable on Wall Street. Pretty soon stocks and savings were almost inconsequential to the big banks. They were doing 50, 100, 200 billion in mortgage bonds and dozens of other securities a year. In the end Lewis Ranieri’s Mortgage Backed Security mutated into a monstrosity that collapsed the whole world economy. And none of the experts or leaders or talking heads had a clue it was coming. I’m guessing most of you still don’t really know what happened. And merica barely noticed as it’s number one industry became… boring old baaaanking. Then, one day… almost thirty years later... it all came crashing down…
And to think that securities developed into derivatives, and attracted a massive portion of the world's economy to it, making countries hooked into artificial overvaluation of stocks, currencies... I feel like the movie should be mandatory for people. It's not by coincidence that Burry is an aspie, and the only guy who actually looked at the problem — and profited massively by betting against the American economy.
