A nations ability to conduct war is reliant on it's ability to throw manpower and equipment at the problem. If Ukraine was an isolated nation like Iraq was in 2003, this war would have been over already. Add together the fact that Ukraine has a population equal to that of France in WW1, and the economic backing of the entire west, means that Ukraine has the ability to conduct warfare to a much greater degree. There will still be a tipping point, and Russias ability to throw manpower and equipment at this problem is objectively greater.
