It boggles my mind. Traditionally a person's first loyalty is to their children. You stand behind them against all of the world. Even if you don't support them at least not act against them. So you would think even being a murderer or a communist you would not snitch on them. But look at the larger scale. Some people rape their kids. Some abandon them entirely. Others use them as slave labor or straight up whore them out for drugs. It isn't out of line with the sort of things some people do in large numbers.

I knew an Indian chick years ago who was a massive bitch and has at least discreetly accused 2 guys in her life of assault (via cowardly rumors) to tons of people.
