uk was the financial capital of the eu and had the most prestigious universities. they were making so much from all the students and eu workers and tourists going there.
I only have a UK passport and I lost eu access which I'm now very bitter about. access to 30+ eu/efta countries is incredible

The UK regained full control over its laws, courts, and regulations without needing to align with EU legislation or accept rulings from the European Court of Justice and gave the UK government direct control over its immigration system.

The UK is free to negotiate its own trade deals with non-EU countries (such as agreements with Australia, New Zealand, and Japan) instead of relying on EU-wide deals.

The UK no longer pays annual membership fees to the EU budget, theoretically freeing up money for domestic priorities (e.g., healthcare, infrastructure).

Without needing EU approval, the UK can shape policies on agriculture, fisheries, taxation, and industrial support to suit its own needs rather than compromise with 27 other member states.

Brexit allows the UK to be more agile on the global stage, forming partnerships beyond Europe and reasserting itself as an independent, global nation.

It’s about execution.

some nonce decided to go on a political crusade. not against something insignificant like a culture war, but to close borders to other white peoples: nordics, german, slovenes, etc. and boomers ate it all up then died from covid.
I used to be able to freely move to switzerland or the baltics or whatever, buy property, open a bank account or work there. now I have to choose a specific country and get a visa there and justify them why i'm more important than a local

Imagine how bitter you'd be if you lost access to dozens more countries and an economic community 10x the size of the pitiful EU by being scammed into joining the EU

Brexit was a complete success in that it gave the government nowhere to hide on immigration.

Before we left the EU, the government could mass import immigrants and say we had no choice to take them in because of the EU laws. And to some extent it was true. After we left, we now had complete control over immigration, and the government continued to import immigrants en masse. But now the government had no choice but to admit it was their decision to import them.

This ultimately led to the death of the Conservative party as voters realised they were a neoliberal, mass immigration party. The same is now happening to Labour. Voters are crying out for change. None of this would've happened if we were still in the EU.

Brexit was a success. It paved the way for a truly right wing government to form.

Thread is one big leftie cope. Brexit was delivered. Britain was fucked whether they stayed in the EU, or left by name as the other anon phrased it as it turned out.

Before the EU you didn't even need a passport to visit Europe, but being cucked for so long you probably thought being in the EU improved things.

You were shafted into EU slavery, and you've been punished for wanting to be free.

It was a mistake for sure. But I would also like for the EU to stop treating the UK like shit for it and just get over it and get as close as possible to the UK. We only have each other against the MIGAmutts, the vatniks, the chinks, the jeets, the niggers and the mudslimes.

Brits wanted less European immigration, less Poles and less French, but more Indians and Pakistaneses because it was their empire or something.
They got exactly what they voted for.

Everything post brexit is about punishing the public for voting to leave.
Immigration played a role in the vote. So they absolutely flood them with indians and whatever else.
Norways isn't part of the EU, but neither side needs a visa. Could have done the same for the UK.
They stalled the like idiots, causing all kinds of unnecessary issues.
I could have drawn up a deal that was better in two weeks tops. But then again, I'm not interested in punishing the populace for voting to leave.
