I know the news media is very bullish, patriotic and has its tongue jammed up Putin's ass hole. But do general shows and soaps which aren't overtly political ladened with north Korean-esque sycophantic zeal for existential struggles for the greatness of Russia? Or are there funny jokes and stories about random krokadil addicts and romcoms etc?

Is Putin's hard man no sentiment attitude indicative of all Russian males? Or is there a bit of softness in the zeitgeist?

Also, are Russian people generally more serious than conversations with western zoomers? They always seem to address podcasters / random street interviews seriously.

Oh my god what a shitty post. If you wanted to know what we watch, it's basically the same thing as you, except for the last few years in terms of agenda LGBT media. Superhero crap, Western series, TV dramas, historical films, anime, hell, even remakes of cartoon classics, we basically have all of that.

Insipid crap, there are good series and movies, but they rarely appear. The last normal ones I watched were about Satan coming to Moscow to live a normal life, and just a true crime series. We used to want to copy Western films and series, we REALLY wanted to in terms of plots or atmosphere.
I mostly watch anime anyway.

Russian Internet is awesome, it's called "Runet" aka RU-net, and it has its own 4chan, Reddit, Facebook etc. it's like Chinese internet but connected to the West.

Outside of Internet... There's dacha I suppose. A village retreat most families have. Drinking vodka, some European activities - they're not savages mostly.
