If you haven't figured it out by now, Charlie is revered because of his character. He was an articulate guy, acted on good faith, and despite any differences in political opinions, he represented a massive bloc of Americans who still believed in reason and open debate. When Charlie got shot, it was as if reason itself got killed. The fair shake got assassinated this earlier this week. I hated his politics and Charlie was very ignorant of lived realities of many folks, but he was far from evil. I think he was a good man. That's why this event is going to be massive.
