It's often the case that class innately plays itself out, in that certain types of people (and, yes, races) will gravitate to certain work. The problem with men like you not going through what you've gone through is radical change, or significant outcomes can't take place. You're essentially someone who went against a natural tendency, and that's not insignificant. The issue with people just following natural tendencies, is that laziness will not lead anywhere good, longterm.
