Nepal's "Gen-Z" revolution: Reality vs CIA coup?
Background/context:
>20 years ago Maoists dethroned monarchy through civil war
>they agreed to participate in parliamentary elections rather than capturing the state as Marxists do after their revolution
>won, got majority seat in parliament
>failed to deliver what they promised, fell into the old trap of capitalists : "democracy, political appointments, brokers and lobbyists"
>fast forward 20 years
>became a 3rd "largest" party with only 33 seats in parliament
>same old traditional capitalists parties are now majority, in power, back to same old corruption levels, same old incompetence, complete failure of state mechanism made by maoists
Protest, revolution and interim government:
>bunch of kids protested against corruption
>they tried to get into parliament building
>they were killed by parliamentary guards
>2nd day whole country chimped out and burned and destroyed shits
>government fell
>the NGO which said it was only "volunteering" the protests are forced to lead the discussion with the army for the new prime minister
>voted for a 77 year old retired chief justice through discord (she has a very good reputation, known for anti corruption jihad in the past)
>interim government was created bypassing the constitution
>new PM known for her close ties with India
>Modi congratulates her from 3 different platforms
>Dalai Lama congratulates her (He hasn't done it for any other head of state)
>EU and Western leaders all congratulates her
>China remains silent
Now:
>news of government refusing to meet dead kids' families and them being made to wait for 9 hours only to be told to return
>the NGO which volunteered in the protest are now protesting against appointment of Home Minister, who is also a legal advisor of Mayor of Kathmandu
>zero representation of "Gen-Z" in the new interim government
>Western and local political commentators are saying it was a CIA coup
Genuine revolution being destroyed in real time by power players.
