Incoming generation of US engineers are terrible
Engineering has always been plagued by kids who had googled “highest paying majors” and picked the engineering path. Fortunately the curriculum used to filter out most of the dolts. Now with ChatGPT faking grades for kids this new wave of engineers were interviewing are beyond stupid. High schoolers used to be smarter than these kids. I can only imagine the medical industry is feeling the same hit.

I'd take white people who abuse chatgpt over Indians any day of the week. The indian cheating network is like chatgpt, but retarded.

You wanna sponsor/hire a mech eng with 5 years experience in HVAC design? No actual process or manufacturing experience, but good with CAD and quick at learning on the job. I'll even take a starting salary of $100k

The competence crisis will continue to get worse as long as we keep allowing illiterate monkey people into white institutions and society pretending we are all one and the same.

Your current workforce is too incompetent to train new hires anyways, they could be the best possible candidates and you wouldn't be able to explain to them adequately the specifics of their position regardless.

It was always full of retards. Wtf do you think they were trying for decades now to move legal liability from doctors to nurses?
Nobody wants exposure to the lawsuits caused by the stupidity of these people.

There is a coming apocalypse of a magnitude that I don't think people understand. There's going to be a software apocalypse and an infrastructure apocalypse. My company has old timers dropping like flies and no one with anywhere near as much knowledge and experience to replace them.

I find it lines up more with the rise of social media. You'll notice that English scores start declining first after 2012, followed by every other subject.

Damn it's almost like it's a systemic issue that started decades ago on purpose and now the effects are hitting the job market.
Good thing geniuses like me don't care to go to university, because without credentialism really separating the cream from the wheat I might be able to be literally trained on how to do anything on the job. Phew, that was a close call! Thank you neojudaic hellscape. Very cool.

Called being an engineer in Australia, you either get hired by a mining company, construction company, do something in defence or not at all.
Fuck all manufacturing here.

same here
I seem to be the one exception to all this though, as I have all the experience and knowledge because the old timers all liked me and shared knowledge.
What is happening to me is not being paid well enough for my knowledge and experience.
