They could fuck little girls and have them as wives.
You're mad about that.

The founders intended on citizens owning the same arms as the military and being able to organize and train with their neighbors. Citizens used to own the same warships armed with cannons that the government owned.
Now we're not allowed to own mortars or armed tanks and militias always get infiltrated by the feds and destroyed. What we're left with is atomized individuals with small arms.
Not what the founders intended, no, but neither is gun control

I've read the argument that the 2A does more harm than good because it commodifies political anxiety into a convenient purchase.
>"Wow the world is going to hell, instead of organizing or doing something meaningful I'll buy a rifle just in case" >"When the big event happens I'll be a super soldier with my network of other super soldiers that will materialize out of thin air" >rifle they shot once with a 20 round box of ammo sits in a closet for years
You have no idea how many gun owners fit that description.

Buying a gun if you don't have one is one of the best preparedness steps you can possibly take, and that's only valid once. What we need are militias which are totally legal but are being illegally suppressed by the government.

I'm not American so I may be mistaken, but in my understanding the second amendment is more about ensuring that the citizens have the means to stand against tyranny ( no matter where it's coming from) than anything else. The right of self defense is a natural right and one of the most important, since any other right would become meaningless if you didn't have the right to defend your own life (dead people have no rights). Of course this includes being able to own and legitimately use guns for self defense, but it's not really what the constitution is about. 2nd amendment supporters should stop being hypocritical about it. The left wants to disarm you because it gives the people the potential ability to fight back against the government. That's the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about, all the rest is theatrics.
Americans are too stupid to own weapons. Too fat, black, brown, gullible, and plain dumb. Most people shouldn't be allowed to drive. Facism and segregation is the only way forward to a safe, functional society.

Its not that I dont have an arsenal in my closet, but whats the fucking point if everyone is too scared to use them?
A Leftoid armed with a butterknife means more than 50 rightwingers with anti-material rifles if that Leftoid is actually willing to fight.

Funnier than that, the US government at the time of the war for independence had to actually go to civilians begging them for ships and cannons to continue fighting against the British.

That's right. Even if you only take the right of self defense alone, a right is only valid if you have the means to exercise that right, both legal and physical. Since you can only defend yourself if you have the tools to do it, you should have the right to carry weapons for the sole purpose of self defense. That's why in Europe we abandoned our freedom the moment we accepted to surrender our right to carry weapons.

People keep saying uneducated or dishonest bullshit all the time, it's nothing new. Brandolini's law says that we have to spend much more time correcting the bullshit than spewing it, that's how it is. The truth is that ballistics are hard to predict because there are so many different factors affecting the outcome. Hunters know it.
