...I don't get it. AI generated stuff can be funny at times, but AI generated fellatio text just annoys me. It's not real. You told a machine to act like a sycophant, it generated some probable brown nosing dialogue based on existing kiss assery, none of it is real or means that you're actually worthy of having your ego stroked.

Honestly have had the same experience.
Had to doctor the tone and responses to get it they way I wanted but once I did it was 1000x what any human therapist has ever been.
Have had the validation experience like that guy talked about, but getting llama to respond as "direct bordering on confrontational" and "with only a single sentence ending in a question mark" has drilled into my psyche more than any shrink.

Guess what - the entire internet is giant a validation machine. If you believe something to be true, you can get validated for it, from youtube, podcasts, X, reddit, and yes of course /pol/. Just search for anything and you'll find people nodding along. The smart people will question their own thoughts and beliefs, but that is a minority.

It's also no where near good enough to feel responsive. Even when using an ai for practical purposes it gets so many things wrong. It's like it's half listening all the time, because it just spits out statistical responses. It's like a horoscope, it's guessing. Which is great if it gets it right, but not if it doesn't.
