No. They were lumped in with other Allied-aligned Indian Nationalists in their arrests, then their existence was suppressed to avoid any issues. The controversies which ensued with the much larger INA caused many of them to end up sort of just vanishing back into Indian society, although iirc they were banned from rejoining the army.

This was a time when Indian Nationalists were taking inspiration from all over the place for their own nationalism; continental Europe, Ireland, Britain, all sorts.

The Indian Legion's goals were not Nazism, they were Indian independence. Nazi Germany supported anyone who put Britain at risk, so very obviously they supported Indian nationalists.

National socialism is about the natural order. Traditional gender roles, national pride, one culture for the nation, one language for the people.
