David Betz predicted a civil war in the UK all because of some social unrest.
France is in a State of civilwar for 50 years by that standard.

A civil war in the USA would almost certainly spill over to become a world war, as distant powers try to take advantage of the situation by siding with one side or the other to take territory / influence from the US abroad.
