Someone once told me that indian families have whatsapp groups where there's like 50 members in them and they're just on a voice call 24/7. Family members just drop in and out of the call during the day depending on what they're doing.

They're literally on the phone with their family back in India/Pakistan/not here. Like, just keep it on speaker on both sides. You hear the TV on in the background and them moving around and cooking and shit. Like a virtual hangout with their family. It's unprofessional and seems weird, but I see it so often in so many different stores.

i work in manufacturing and a lot of my foreign coworkers from shithole countries are talking on their phones via earbuds for the whole shift, every day. my guess is that they're just used to hearing people blabbering on about nothing in their abiddabiddabiddabidda language all day

What do they even talk about? I've always wondered about it. I even tried asking some jeets, but they either got offended or couldn't answer. My theory is that they tell the same stories over and over again and try to one up each other like "the goat I lost my virginity to kept following me for months!" "yeah? well the goat I lost my virginity to cummed four times!" and so on. Really how the fuck so you even have something to talk about for hours on end? I call relatives once a week at best and conversation dies in 30-60 min at best.
