They went much, much too far is the problem. People didn't get this mad when Trump was almost shot. They didn't get mad now because a few libtards did a bit of gravedancing. That's tasteless, but it wouldn't be unexpected. If a piano fell on Stephen Colbert right now I'd have a sensible chuckle.
People are mad because the mainstream left, going all the way up to the former Speaker of the House and Presidential Candidate, has been openly calling for and celebrating violence as a political tactic for about 10 years now, ever since gangs of thugs assaulted people attending Trump rallies during the 2016 campaign, if not before then. The message has been clear for years now. "Republicans are Nazis," "it's okay to punch Nazis," "our grandfathers landed at Normandy to kill Nazis, not debate with them," "an antifa assault is just like D-Day". They're not just gravedancing because their opponent is gone. They're celebrating the precedent it would send. Not everyone might have agreed with Charlie Kirk's takes, but he's not a politician or a government employee, he's just a regular family man. He just went around peacefully and respectfully debating people, and this got him shot. People look at that and see themselves, or people they know, in that man, and democrats not only celebrated his death but asked for more blood. They want a vigilante directly inspired by their calls to violence to assassinate you if you ever dare go against them. They want you fired, shot, your wife raped and your children indoctrinated. It's never been more obvious how radicalized mainstream democrats have become, and that's why people aren't holding their tongue anymore.
It was bound to happen at some point, really. The democrats has been getting more unhinged every year.
