I agree in principal but this was totally obvious that it was image distortion and not physical deformation of the dam. There were many examples showing how its distortion and other photos from different satellites proving it was not crooked but these fools were adamant in their ignorance and couldn't be convinced to save their shekels. I don't feel sympathy for idiots, especially when many others tried to reason with them.

Asian civilization was based around the Yellow River. The problem is the Yellow River has a tendency to have seasonal floods, which wipes out most of the crops. This would cause seasonal boom/bust cycles in crop yields, which also caused boom-bust cycles in population.

This might be why asians are shorter, since those with smaller bodies could survive the starvation cycles. They also don't need very strong bodies to farm rice, as compared to the grain farmed in Europe. Another thing is that asians have much less "disgust response" to horrible looking foods. They'll eat practically anything, even things you think are gross like bugs, raw meat, or living creatures. This lack of "disgust response" probably indicates they needed any calories they could get. Which could be evidence of a Mathusian trap, or boom-bust crop cycles where the survivors had less opinions about eating grubs they scrounged from the wild.
