In linguistics we call that "register".

It depends on the individual. I can say with reasonable certainty that I use a different register with romantic partners than I do with gaming buddies, although it should be noted that this is mostly subconscious, as in we generally do this all the time without even thinking about it.

Calling it now, his troon roommate had access to his phone and wrote those texts to rule himself out as a co-conspirator. FBI reports that he's been cooperative but seems kinda off given all the suspicious out of state visitor activity around their fag love nest prior to the shooting. I bet there was a planning session with multiple troon militant groups, ol Tyler was leaning on some elaborate escape plan put in place by his troon allies and is now realizing that they all bailed on him and left a big steaming pile of fabricated evidence pointing to him as the sole killer.
