The suppression won't work. Trump has fucked with Rupert and this isn't like his normal bully games, you can find pictures of Rupert hanging out with JFK in the Oval Office, he's been manipulating Presidents since Trump was in short trousers.
Which is to say, the Murdoch press will find something and the will keep bringing this up at regular intervals. Even the delay is very Murdoch, he likes to drip the poison out over a period of time so it jump starts a new media cycle each time.
