And a kid who worked on farms and started a specialist tree farm out of an old greenhouse than raided scrapyards for cheap steel, plastic, and glass and welded up more greenhouses himself. He collects specific seeds from the woods, raises saplings, and then sells them to urban developers. You can do the same thing with anything from venison to dairy if you make local or regional connections and work under the table. Fuck the government.

The true reason China doesn't import basedbeans from the US though is that they bought farmland to grow their own crops in the US and send it back without making any official purchases. That's why multiple states have legislation to prevent sale of farmland to foreign nationals. Not every state does, and those states have fucked up.

I make more per acre than all these fucking monoculture Boomertards. Nothing I grow leaves the county. I'm not even mechanized really. I got one little thing I move around by hand. It does take more mental labor but takes way less physical labor. I even live way up north with a short growing season, although I do use low tunnel, high tunnel and permanent greenhouses to extend my seasons, and I got livestock doing their thing 365 days a year.
