They were big, since WW2 was merely a continuation, or part 2 to WW1. As a kraut, you should know about the Versailles treaty and how it fucked over Germany (Weimar), and how it led to political uprisings all over the place.

It was really World War, Part 2. WW2 was a continuation war, after Jews overthrew the Kaiser and lost the war for Germany. At the beginning of things, Adolf was largely just reunifying territory lost to that shameful treaty.
