them getting away with it, is you giving them attention and keeping them relevant.
You want them to be punished for their shit? Trashtalk their channels and internet personalities to everybody who cares. every viewer that watches these narcissts less is a win in my book.

Political streamers get a much bigger pass from their audience.
PirateSoftware is just another friend simulator. When his shitty personality is exposed (to the people who were too autistic to pick up on it immediately) then the value of the friend simulator plummets.
Political streamers are also friend simulators, but they are also warriors for whatever political side they espouse, at least in the mind of their audience. When their shitty personality is exposed they recieve a lot more slack from their audience because their audience is still highly invested in whatever political cause or movement. They have a psychological need to rally around and defend the streamer because their own personality is so wrapped up in politics.
It's not really an attractive vs unattractive thing, although I'm sure that's at play too. But ugly e-grifters weather scandal all the time as well. The only thing that can really take down an e-grifter is actual criminal charges in a morally abhorrent crime, or simply deviating from the politics that built their audience by too much.
