Cordova, Alabama — Police Chief Jason Hare has resigned after a viral video allegedly showed him sexually harassing a teenage dispatcher inside the department.

The footage reportedly depicts Hare making inappropriate comments and even humping the dispatcher’s chair while she was seated.

Cordova Mayor Jeremy Pate confirmed Hare’s resignation following public outrage.

City officials say an internal review is underway, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
