when i go to use the dryer, i have to scrub the inside first because the jeets use so many cancerous fabric softeners. its like a thick film of smelly ass chemicals they leave behind. i spent months researching the most natural and non-toxic ways to wash clothes, and these jeets just buy the smelliest cancer shit they find on the shelf and coat the dryer in it..

Dryers are very simple like you said.
Usually it's the belt that goes bad. Next would be the heating element.
It's called nichrome wire or something, I'm not googling it. You can buy spools of it on eBay and just rebuild the heating element. You can also just bolt the existing broken wires together.
Or just buy the replacement piece which is what I was saying about $20.
