Yea my dad did that. Anything my mom told him he accepted fully. Problem was during menopause my mother was an insane monster. She'd constantly accuse me of doing things I didn't do at all. She'd accuse me of sassing off to her when all I said was a polite " Yes mam ". One time I was driving her home from school, where she worked and I attended, and she back handed me in the face while I was driving nearly driving us off the road.
Every time she told my dad another story, he will belt me or switch me. I had black bruises all over the back of my legs in early high school it was hard to sit down. Sometimes with the switch it drew a little blood.
Anytime I tried to deny something she'd lied about I'd get it worse.
It was like having a big sister who was constantly trying to get me in trouble, not a mother. And dad just went with it. Beat the fuck out of me all the time.
