Their argument is that the Christian should behave in a way that conforms to their own interpretation of what Jesus would have done, which conforms to their own political beliefs/motivations. It's insincere and manipulative to make such an argument when one is not a Christian. It's also incredibly smug to judge someone as not living up to the tenets of their faith whilst not being an authority in that faith. This doesn't mean the leftist's argument can't be logically sound, but given where it's usually coming from, it probably won't be. So the message of that smuggie isn't rock solid in a logical sense, but it's usually right and gets across the general deceptiveness of the leftist making that kind of appeal.
